Contour Housing Group – North West

The Problem

Faced with the challenge of a rebrand following the merge between two housing associations, the freshly formed Contour Housing Association turned to Stockport- based SIGNARAMA for help.

Developing Contour's business and delivering on commitment to tenants left no time to consider the new identity and signage for what had become one of the North West's largest registered social landlords with 20,000 properties under its ownership and management across 27 local authorities.

Rebranding signage was critical both within the offices as well as across all the housing estates; and signs of all types and sizes were required ranging from Estate Signs and Safety Signs to both internal and external office signs and graphics.

The Challenge

Contour Housing Group required a sign manufacturer who could single handedly manage the entire range of their signage requirements to promote their new identity. And time was ticking against them, as only rebranded signage could prevent potential confusion amongst tenants, yet managing the merger and ensuring continuity and service had to remain priority for Contour.

The solution

After winning the contract to produce Contour Housing Association's signage, Stockport's SIGNARAMA soon proved that not only could they design and deliver on the entire range of signs required, but their project management experience enabled them to oversee the project on behalf of Contour freeing up more staff to focus on business development.

Over a course of two years 3,000 signs were manufactured and installed across the North West, with renewals and sometimes unusual requests still being made to this day.
