Venom Racing for Success with SIGNARAMA!

SIGNARAMA is hot on the wheels of success with Venom Racing as they bid to break the 6 second record in drag races across the country. SIGNARAMA stepped into the driving seat at the last minute to brand Venom Racing's Nitro Fuel Altered dragster and truck, when a previous sponsor let the team down. The Milton Keynes-based branch managed the printing and application of graphics to both vehicles.

Now, having sponsored the wrapping of both car and truck, SIGNARAMA's name is set to travel over 2,000 miles for at least 40 hours with Venom as they race for glory, aiming to hit their 5 second dream in front of 40,000 spectators in September's European Finals at Santa Pod.

Venom Racing, who is also sponsored by MHD group Ltd www.mhdgroupltd.co.uk, was formed in 2006 when a group of guys decided to have one last go on the race track before throwing the towel in. Led by Tony Betts, Venom's driver, the team entered a class run by the National Fuel Altered Association; and went on to take the record and continually improve on it. In 2008 a deal was struck with a builder in the USA who donated a new car, which the team competed in three times before reaching the final in September. Now Venom racing is set on breaking the ¼ mile sprint record in the UK in less than six seconds - marking the first time outside the US. And leaving the circuit is the last thing on their minds! Instead they are seeking fresh racing dragster drivers to continue Venom's outstanding success.

Tony, who has been drag racing for over 20 years, said: "We get closer to breaking the ¼ mile record at each meeting. Our success is down to our great team who has an unrivalled passion for drag racing, and pull out all the stops to reach our goal; and we're very grateful to SIGNARAMA for sponsoring us as we head for gold."

Tony continued: "My dream is to find the next Venom winners and train them to keep bringing the medals in for Venom. At the point I take my helmet off for good, we want fresh talent to step in behind the wheel."

Venom's other two main sponsors are NGK Spark Plugs (website link) and Teng
Tools (website link); and SIGNARAMA has pledged to sponsor Venom Racing for at least the next eighteen months. Recognising SIGNARAMA's support, their logo is also featured on the two Ford Rangers owned by MHD group which are present at every race.

Getting set to race in August at Europe's largest biker party, the Bulldog Bash, Tony hopes that they will reach their 5 second goal by the time they hit the track at the European Finals in September.
