Ultra challenge for SIGNARAMA York
Former soldier and inspirational mentor Andy McMenemy is currently attempting to establish a world endurance record for running consecutive Ultra Marathons. Having previously completed the Marathon Des Sables in 2007, the Namibian Desert 24hr Ultra Marathon in 2008 and helped BBC Presenter Helen Skelton to complete the same marathon in 2009, he is currently running Ultra Marathons in each of the UK's 66 official cities.
This massive challenge involves running 66, Ultra Marathons, (50 Km each) in 66 days, with no rest days in the 66 cities of UK. During this challenge he is also hoping to raise £1million for ABF The Soldier's Charity, formerly the Army Benevolent Fund. Challenge 66 started on March 16th in Leeds and Andy will successfully complete this marathon undertaking with his final Ultra Marathon in York on May 20th.
Whilst on the road, the Challenge 66 team will be living in an RV Coach and using a Skoda Yeti, as their support vehicle. In order to create maximum awareness of the world record attempt, Challenge 66 called upon the services of the team at SIGNARAMA York to wrap the RV and Skoda Yeti with all the details of the challenge and their sponsors' logos. SIGNARAMA had three days from receipt of artwork to complete the project. All the details of the challenge together with the logos of their sponsors were applied to the vehicles using digitally printed vinyl.
