SIGNARAMA Thames Valley increases environmental awareness
Bracknell Town Council is responsible for the maintenance of the majority of the recreation areas and children's play facilities within the Bracknell Town area of Bracknell Forest Borough. Littering, dog fouling and fly tipping are issues that affect us all and with a large area of green open space to look after Bracknell Town Council is particularly aware of the problems these issues can cause. To help address the problem the council has created the new post of Environment Warden.
The roll of Bracknell Town council's new Environment Warden will be to have a high presence in the town's parks and green spaces and thereby reduce the incidents of dog fouling and littering. The council has invested in 10,000 poo bags which the Environment Warden will be distributing to dog owners whilst on his rounds as well as collecting small amounts of misplaced litter. In addition he will be on hand to educate the public about these issues and help encourage them to report cases of fly tipping.
To help raise awareness of this new initiative, the Environment Warden is driving a van that has been given an eye catching vehicle wrap by SIGNARAMA Thames Valley. The vehicle wrap incorporates reflective lettering made from engineering grade vinyl, this follows the curves of the car and really helps the car to stand out whilst it is in use. For added impact the rear window has been fitted with specialist one-way film allowing for the back window to be branded too. To encourage people to get in touch the vehicle wrap includes the phone number for the council. The vehicle wrap was installed in the store's purpose built vehicle wrapping bay and the team completed the project in a week from initial design to finished installation.
Allan Moffat, Recreational Facilities Manger for Bracknell Town Council said, "The response from the public to the introduction of the new Environment Warden has been very positive; w. We have already started to see an improvement in the general tidiness of our parks and open spaces. The van has been a great help in getting our message across, not only does it help the Environment Warden on his patrols it helps residents to see that we're taking the issues of dog fouling, littering and fly tipping seriously."
